This course is a legal requirement for any business. The Responsible Person, Fire marshall responsibilities, Fire Telephones, Health & Safety legislation and use of portable fire extinguishers (inc. live tests where space allows).
The training officer will talk in detail about the premises with the trainees while conducting a walk around the building identifying escape routes, fire fighting equipment, suitable muster points and fire brigade access/liaison.
This enables employers to meet their statutory insurance obligations and to protect staff and property under current Health and Safety Regulations (The 2005 Fire Regulatory Reform Act).
The Course is designed for larger companies or specific buildings and staff, where vunerable or young persons may be present. i.e. care homes, schools, etc.The course covers many aspects of a building evacuation inc. means of escape and signage, while conducting a walk around the building identifying escape routes, fire fighting equipment, suitable refuge/muster points.Please note this is not a full Fire Warden Course and is primarily designed for specific buildings and staff.
